Default Taj Mahal: A Must See Destination

Visiting Taj Mahal in the city of Agra would be a great experience to everyone. Be the architectural perfection, the majestic beauty of white marble mausoleum or the love that the Taj Mahal symbolizes, it is a once in a life time place to visit.

The white Taj Mahal simmering in the pearly light of a full moon is said to be poetic and romantic. The river Yamuna that flows nearby adds to the natural beauty.

The monument flaunts a man's unending love for his wife. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in remembrance of his loving wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is considered to be a world wonder. Both the king and queen were buried here.

It can be said that the word flaw is erased from the dictionary when you gaze at the structure. The architect has excelled himself with the intricate designs captured on the white marble. The hard work and effort of thousands of workers has made this tomb an everlasting wonder.

Build using white marble, the majestic beauty of the Taj Mahal attracts hundreds of tourists every day. It would be even difficult to get inside the gates of the Taj Mahal with long queues of tourists flogging the monument. Even with the noise made by the visitors and the camera flashes, the serenity of world's one of the most beautiful man-made structures is over whelming.

It is said that if you visit India, you must see the Taj Mahal by moonlight.

Let me tell you about the Taj mahal and the story of love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz .Shah Jahan, the eldest son of Emperor Jahangir possessed very attractive looks. He was young handsome prince with sharp features. The year 1607 was a momentous year for him. As he was on his way to Meena Bazaar, he saw a mirror shop where Arjumand Banu (Mumtaz Mahal) sat to sell silk and glass beads. He bought the piece of mirror from the shop and along with that he also carried image of this pristine beauty in his mind, who was very beautiful and generous. After five years when he was twenty and the beautiful lady was 19, they got married. Their love story is the most important factor behind the Taj Mahal history. Mumtaj was third wife of the shah jahan.

The exterior decorations of the Taj Mahal are among the finest in Mughal architecture.

Ever since its construction, the building has been the source of an admiration transcending culture and geography.
