Default Through India's Roads

Driving through the roads of India is the easiest way to know the country's soul. You will meet different people, taste various foods, listen to different languages and experience the differences in culture. All these can be experienced only through a long drive.

If you travel from the capital of India, Delhi to the city of Bhopal, you can drive on the wide roads that can be used to test the maximum speed limit of your car.

On the way traveling through The Chambal would be a great experience. You can see the dark hillocks that gave it the name India's Death Valley. You can actually realize why the dacoits made it their choice of hiding place. The great places make a terrifying hiding place and you feel that you can almost detect the smell of blood that has flown on these grounds.

As the roads in the state of Madhya Pradesh are devoid of street lights it would be a good idea to take measures to ensure that you do not loose your way and end up going in circles.

You can take a short break at Gwalior and visit the ancient fort, where a guide would show you the several dark passages and tunnels running through to various places connecting the fort with the different locations.

An important aspect of the route is that you will realize how much Cows are well treated in India, being considered a holy animal. You will find that the area has more cows than human population.
