North East Heaven on Earth Shillong

My last trip to Shillong was a few days ago when I click these pics. Shillong is capital of Meghalaya which is around 80 Kms away from Guwahati Airport (nearest). The entire trip was full of excitement and fun as after a long time I got some time to spend with mom n dad in Shillong.

Basic information about Shillong you must know before visiting:

State: Meghalaya, East Khasi Hills
Languages: Khasi, English, Hindi
Climate: lowest in winters 4°C and Highest in Summers 24°C (most of the
times temp remains between 12°C-22°C
Highways Connected: NH 40 - Connected to Guwahati & NH 44 Connected to Agartala

Places to Visit:

Wards Lake: The other name of local name of this lake is Nan-Polak, its right in center of Shillong where you can enjoy boating and evening walk.

Lady Hydari Park: Mini zoo of Shillong, its a small place where you can see different birds, reptiles, deers and monkeys.

Police Bazaar: Its main market of Shillong, just like connaught place of Delhi, area is full of shops, resto's, hotels and a cinema. One can surely enjoy evening walk here.

Shillong Peak: High peak on outskirt of Shillong which gives great view of city.

Golf Course: Shillong has the worlds wettest golf course Gleneagles of the East. This 18 Hole golf course was started in 1924 and from that time till now its heaven of golf lovers.

I don't know how and why people use to kill such an innocent animal
