Importance of trust in Relationship
Trust is the foundation for intimate, secure and successful relationships. It must be earned and maintained with consistent actions. building trust and feeling like your partner is trustworthy are not always easy for those who have had their trust betrayed because a relationship without trust is likely to be easily broken and will not surpass the test of time and if the basic foundation of relationships is disturbed it becomes almost impossible for the relation to survive. The significance of trust can be simply understood by a simple example that one may not refer to a doctor who is not trust worthy similar is the case with relations as they deal with emotions of people.
Trust has to be a living, breathing entity in order for a relationship to survive. This applies to romantic relationships, family relationships and friendships.
Due to the increasing influence of mass media nowadays especially electronic media In spousal relationships mostly jealousy are the major causes for lack of trust among relationships. The increasing trend in television Daily Soaps in which every man has an illicit relation or extra marital affair has developed a sense of mistrust among relations .People who simply are possessed of jealous nature, seeing suspicious behaviour where it’s not warranted making self assumptions .Such assumptions are influenced by the rising trend of media in which the whole soap relies on the way relationships are betrayed broken or deceived .This mistrust on relationships is not only limited to spousal relationships but it extends to all relations .
On the other hand, if a person’s behaviour or actions warrant suspicion as might be the case of a partner who flirts shamelessly in his or her partner’s presence or is disloyal the role of trust ends here and so does the importance of relationship wipe away. If a person is not trustworthy then there is no point in developing a relationship with such a person.
Trust in relationships is a two way street. Both parties must behave ethically and deal truthfully. In every case, trust is built, earned and maintained. This simple element of trust between people affects your entire life. Take care to make it happen so that your relationships are not only survive but are reliable and successful as well as the bond of trust is a very delicate one and as they say it takes years to build it and just a few seconds to destroy it .
