But i totally disagree, why cant we just forget the past and move on with the present and make our future better, may be we might have just crossed so many lines in the past that if we discuss them with our partner, we might just hurt them too much

Plus i think that if we do discuss those issues of the past, we will be just creating a bad impact and a bad image of ourselves in front of our partners no matter how good or transformed we have been now.

Yes, alot, but yeah we need to tell them that its over, its the past we are talking about and not happening now or will not happen in the future, its true that it gives a wrong perception but you need to talk your partnet out of it.

I believe that a person should always be upfront with one's partner about one’s past relationships. It is always better to tell the truth. I know it is hard but if you don't, you will always feel guilty and that is one thing a person can not live with.

i personally like the idea of openness... as in.. all the past of ur partner are discussed and revealed..

coz i wont feel ok and will really feel bad/mad, if i discover something about him which he never have shared to me yet. even if at that time im not yet a part of his life... it may hurt but will soon be accepted...and be get immune... so when time come that i'll get to know about him from other person..or in some circumstance ... i know how to react and know the whole thing already ..

the virtue of acceptance is developed in the relationship then..

though there are women too, choose not to know anything...
