If you receive a challan from Delhi Traffic Police and you think that its not due to your fault or If you think Delhi Traffic Police sent it to you without your fault then you can write an application to DCP/Traffic along with proof documents, the outcome of investigation would be replied back to you in writing.

Drinking and Driving

If alchol level is exceeding 30mg per 100 ml of blood then

• Punished for the first offence with imprisonment for a term which may extend upto 6 months or a fine upto Rs.2,000/- or both, and

• For a subsequent offence committed within 3 yeas of the previous offence, with imprisonment which may extend to 2 years or fine upto Rs.3,000/- or both.

I have observed that most of the times Delhi Police target young and teenagers driving at night and after that they try to pin point each n everything, may be checking vehicle too. Are these challans ment for young generation only or they just give special treatment to people of there own age

There is nothing like special treatment (leave some special offers apart) but according to Delhi Traffic Police drivers killed in road accidents between age 21-29 years is 5 times more than drivers of 30+ years of age and this is the age group which likes to test there skills and stunts after driving.

According to sources most of the fatal accidents happens due to over speeding and alcohol/drugs consumption.

Well i think that's reasonable, Drinking and driving is big offence, I don't have much idea of delhi but here in mumbai if you found guilty then you've to pay price, you cannot escape by giving 100 rs to police wala...
