Default Tips for call center agents?

I am working the night shift in a call center and have found this schedule to be difficult.
Do you have any tips for call center agents who work the night shift?

Hi Alex

Really nice topic to start with mate
Even I am nocturnal animal who loves to stay awake whole night long, there are few diet tips which i can point out and some time management tips are there.

The thing which I follow to stay in shape
Never eat before sleeping in morning, try to have liquid food in morning like juice, milk or something similar.

Don't eat anything for atleast one hour after you wake up but drink as much water as you can.

Heavy meal is good before going to work or before starting your day.

After coming back from work, a short walk is always good.

On weekends/ weekly offs try to go for some yoga or hobby class to keep your body n mind alive.

I am not sure mate which other tips you are looking for

actually its very difficult to say what eating habits one should follow when working in the night shift because each and every persons constitution is different but as a general rule a few things may help

1) Do some mild exercise every 2 hours walking or 10 situps would be godd as it excercises your body and takes your mind away from work. This is ideal when you are taking breaks.

2) have coffee or tea without sugar or add sugarfree.

3) wear comfortable footwear.

4) wear loose fitting clothes especially trousers for men and punjabi suits for women.

5) after your shift ends and before you sleep try to read something or listen to soothing music.

6) do not sleep in the transport vehicle as doing so would spoil your regular sleep.

7) do not over eat.

8) make sure that if you are working in the night shift you get to sleep atleast 4 hours at a stretch.

9) avoid foods that may affect your throat.

10) do not party too much on the second off day.

11) avoid liquor in the morning.

Hi,

The habit of working at nights can be adapted and acclimatized to with some practice.It is required for the people to be attentive,vigilant and most important to stay focused on that particular work which is to be done weather its call center or some other and also the call center agents should also take care of their diet and follow a healthy lifestyle in their day today life.some important and necessary tips are given below:-

TIPS TO MAINTAIN THEIR PROPER HEALTH A

1.RELAX AND TAKE REST TO REGAIN STRENGTH:-

Its ok some times that not to take work much seriously and also not much with ease and to take some days off making plan for some fun like picnic,hill station or near a beach side and avoid going to pub,disco.

2.virtues and sins:-

Though caffeine and nicotine do help you to stay awake during long working hours but as it is said "anything in excess is bad which results into habit weather its smoking or even sweat" ,so excess of anything is bad.you should take care of such habits.

3.BEST AND CLOSE FRIENDS:-

If you don't have ,do make and stay in contact with your friends,Share your happiness and sorrows them.they can be the biggest motivator for you in this world. AS it is said " loneliness leads to death" don't allow yourself to stay alone .

4.BE FIT STAY HEALTHY:-

To stay fit,you need to do regular exercise either by going to gym,walking or by playing some sport games.As call center job is sedentary ,you should be physically fit too.Being physically fit enhances the confidences of a person and also increases the mental strength.

5.DRINK LOTS OF WATER:-

On calls and during the duty,you speak a lot on phone which causes strain on your important part of the body which is throat and larynx .So to avoid this problem and to relax them ,you are advised to drink lots of water and also some alcohol free fluids.

6.HEALTHY FOOD:-

Oily,overcooked and greasy food will make you sleepy,tired and also much inactive.you need a proper balanced diet to keep yourself awake,healthy and aware.Skipping meals or overeating is dangerous when your mind on high alert.If you don't eat well cooked food you will feel inactive and your listening and also speaking capabilities will suffer.you will not sound loud and cheerful to the customers.

7.A GOOD SLEEP IS REQUIRED:-

Get a good and enough sleep.As doctors say "For a person to have a good sleep at least six to seven hour sleep is required" it distress you naturally .It also helps you to unwind and recharges you and your full body for the next night.

Well being in a night shift schedule is really hard. I also find difficult time when my schedule is in night shift. Thanks for your advice fellas!
