I bought this phone on 1 December 2009 and in real terms its touch screen stopped working on 14 December 2009, so I called mobile shop helpline number where I had a word with there adviser Shazia, according to Shazia there was a scheme where I can replace my handset or I can avail buy back scheme where i will be getting 85% of total cost of phone (which never happened). I asked if the store is open on 1st Jan and got the reply as Yes, when i visited the store it was closed.

Story is not ending here but its just the beginning of fairy tale, next day (Saturday, 2 Jan 2010) when I visited the South Ex (South Delhi) store the guy on desk said that I need to take this phone to Connaught Place store as workshop is there so i had to visit CP store now, gave the same phone there for repair and got a hand made job slip on white paper as the printer was not working in store and sales man on store promised me that I will get the phone back by Monday and he will call me up for confirmation. Nobody called up on Monday so I called the same sales man on Tuesday for the first few times he didn't answer the phone and when he picked I got the answer "I am in Metro Train right now so can not help, will callback once I reach the store" again as expected this guy Mohd. Rafi didn't call and in anger and frustration I went to CP store again where I met store manager who promised me Friday as delivery date of handset as well as followup callback was promised from store manager, again I got no call and when I called back Mohd. Rafi (on his mobile phone) somebody else picked up the phone to say that Rafi is not available at the moment, finally after a number of calls in afternoon I had a word with Rafi who has suggested me to wait till Monday again.

In bottom line The Mobile Store is providing the most crappy service you can think of and If I will not get a replacement on Monday then for sure I would be taking this case to consumer court as there managers are already aware of this situation and they know what I am going through.

If we talk about this Ray T60 mobile phone, its based on MT6227 motherboard (Chinese motherboard) and its not possible to install Java or any other application on this phone, browser is good for some WAP sites only but don't expect it to work good for all of your WAP sites, Google maps, gmail, yahoo messenger or any other similar application doesn't work on this phone.

Another Update

Today I got a call from Mobile Store CP and they asked me to visit store for the replacement as they found manufacturing fault with the mobile handset. After visiting the store it took me 30mins to know what they did and what is required. After spending 30 mins in CP store they requested me to visit South Ex store for replacement as the Ray T60 model was not available in CP Store. I wasted 45mins again to reach South Ex store where they informed me that T60 is not available anymore and need to get it from warehouse which may take 7 days.

I am seriously done with this Mobile Store and I am sure that I am not wasting my money or fuel to visit there store anymore and will prefer the other side which is Consumer Court.

After so many days and several visits, i got the replacement done today. In day time I called up south ex mobile store to discuss progress of case and the guy advised to pick replacement.

Will use this phone for few days now and will update performance of the same.
