Default Working in BPO After Marriage and Time Management

There are lot many people who say that working in BPO's after marriage is not an easy task and can give number of issues and problems. I am working in a BPO from last 3 years and can understand that we do late night/ odd shifts but still if you have know about time management then can handle this issue in a very easy manner. As a person or I manage my home, work and social life without missing my basic roles in any situation.

Just trying to pen down few steps you can take care of to manage or divide your time

Identify Day and Time of work (shifts): Like if you are working in day shift or night shift or late evening shift.

Analyse the importance of events: Just mark importance level of events and people with taking good care of family first.

Identify Off days and mark/plan time for family, friends and special person.

Stick to your needs and take care of others prefernce

Bring out some free time for yourself when you can simply sit and can enjoy the peace with some strange and lovely thoughts running in mind.

Fix your other extra activities like playing football, swiming, gym etc. in your daily routines only rather then leaving them for weekend or weekly offs.

Your all suggestions are welcome here and please say how you plan you life and day.

Including a poll to get more clear picture

I am not working in any BPO but i know a number of friends who work in BPO and give proper time to family, fun, sports and other activities.

Working in BPO is not really a tough job as it just another job or another shift which starts in evening or at night, it should not affect that much because even here you work for 8-9 hours only and that is too for 5 days.

Hey i think this post of yours has been of great help though I was still very confused that by applying all of them I would have some time for myself too. I mean you know I used to walk around in the park and calm myself down by just listening to music on my iPod and walk around.

Im still not worried but i still know how difficult it is to work along side with being married and especially having kids.
its more like having to work at two different places.
being a working women, you have to keep a good balance between work and home.

My mom is a working lady and she runs the house well too, i never heard my dad or siblings complain ever, i think its all about how taking out time, and managing out what to do alongside. i think working along has made my mom know how to deal with time efficiently and make full use of it.

Hey, there is no such way that you are unable to not give time to both family and work, working in a BPO is not that difficult, the only thing is that it is time consuming and BPO requires a lot of time.

Hi Friends,
BPO is not really a tough job as it just another but it's shift starts in at night, it's affects much because here you work for 9-10 hours daily. You can't give proper time to the family, friends and social life.

Thanks
Alex

Yes the biggest problem is time management and if you work in BPO then you hardly find any free time as most of the time you are occupied with work, clients, co workers and outing's.

It's true that BPO life takes your time but in return it gives you a lot and the most important thing you get is bonding and atmosphere which you can not get anywhere. Just imagine 2 team outings every month, getting spare time to chat chat chat on messengers, pantry, cafe and outside office. Freedom to wear your choice and nobody is there to pin point or to laugh at you, some people may give you friendly feedback but no one will make fun of you (not atleast on face lol).

I don't think BPO is the only place where this is being a problem, in most of the jobs your shift are changed and you have to adjust yourself according to that. But if one is not satisfied with the time , on request they adjust for you but still little afford is needed from your side too.
