Easy Juicy
It is rather difficult to eat a nutritious breakfast daily when you are staying alone. Research says that breakfast should be the meal that gives you one third of daily calorie requirement and tells your body that you are full, satisfied and ready to go. It is suggested that you eat a cup of corn flakes with a glass of milk and a banana to be full. Add to it a glass of fresh juice and the benefits increase manifold.
A glass of pure juice gives you all the benefits of a serving of fresh fruit together with the additional benefits of anti-oxidants that fight not only bad cholesterol but also the general ageing of the body.
Juices of fruits like pomegranates, black cherries, blueberries, grapes or berries have been found to have 20% more anti-oxidants than orange juice or apple juice. If you do not like being fruity, make your juice veggie. Take a glass of fresh juice of beetroot or tomatoes together with your breakfast. They are wholesome and tasty too.
If you are buying fresh fruit juices that are available in cans or containers, always buy those that are 100 per cent juice. These will have no added sugar or syrups and are healthier. Even though on the expensive side, these juices add to the quality of your breakfast.
If you find that these juices are too heavily flavored for your palate, tone them down with water or blend them into a mock-tail for a tastier version.
