Longer DNA: Better Life
Human race has always tried to defile aging and death by striving to achieve longer life and youth.
Now, research has found that some healthy habits can actually change the DNA structure and thus ensure better health and longevity. DNA is the basic strand of life present in each and every cell of our body. DNA is the basic factor that determines the various characteristics and personality of each person. Telomeres are protein molecules at the end of each strand of DNA that is essential for the longevity and immunity of the cells. With advance in age, it is found that the telomeres shorten in length.
It is found that by eating whole vegetarian foods with an additional 10% of calories from fats and by exercising regularly for 30 minutes a day for at least 6 days a week, changes can be seen in the length of telomeres. It was found that with the usage of stress reduction techniques like mediation and support groups, in addition to the diet and exercise regime gives best results in the structure of the DNA.
These changes will help in reducing stress attacks. The exercise and change in diet not only reduce the bad LDL cholesterol in blood, thus reducing the chances of Heart failure and strokes but also actually repairs the strands of DNA.
By following the above healthy habits, it has been found that the length of the telomeres increases and thus reduces the risk of heart failure and cancer.
