I have just started working under female boss and its really not a problem at all but still this question came in my mind and i am not sexist in any case but sometimes i feel that you have to lie a bit when your boss is female. This is the first time I am working under a female boss who is very co operative and understanding, still there are few this which you can not speak with your female boss as you can speak with a male boss.

I was really very comfortable in discussing anything and everything with my ex boss (male) but this is not the same when it comes to my current boss (female).

Me any my ex boss use to go out to smoke, tea and sometimes for beer which helped a lot to create strong bonding and understanding but now its not the same at all.

I was comfortable in calling my ex boss even at 1AM or 2AM for any issue but now the case is same, I have to think twice before making any call as there are chances she must be sleeping or may be sitting with family.

What do you think about this change in leadership style.

Well no matter how understanding a female boss is, she still is a female and usually this part of the population is very strict when it comes to management, so i think working under a female boss might just turn out to be a nightmare soon for you.

I really second that

I don't think sex matters much for mee, but there is every chance to feel in-secure of the office relationship, especially some girls take things for granted- they take the view on their own ideology which could screw up many of them. If its a male we could some how convey them but girls are a little tougher to handle, may be I need to get some books on how to interract with a female boss, so that she doesn't mis-understand me

Before 2 years I am working with a female boss here, I'm glad.

I am still working with same female boss but these days she is cool and loves everyone in team, may be those days she was new that's why the gap was there but now everything seems to be going smooth

That's really encouraging news Aadi, I hope all female bosses be nice and friendly with the crew I just hope at least, I am not sure if my dream would come true though
