Default Sanitary pads and tampoons can cause infection and cervical cancer too

Sanitary Pads

pads.jpg

If you are a women and use Sanitary pads then you may find this article interesting.

Are you aware that using same sanitary pad or tampon for more than 3-4 hours can cause bacteria infection which can go as high as cervical cancer, and did you ever think that what ingredients made pads so thin, light weight and easy to use. Pads are made up of Cellulose gel, thin plastic layer to mask the odor (its not even cotton) and various chemicals are used to make it disinfectant.

Wearing the same pad for long hours can cause rashes, infections, gynecological problems & bacteria infection which may go up to cervical cancer. No wonder why so many women in world suffer from womb tumors and cervical cancer.

Tampons

Tampons have two major ingredients which are potentially harmful; Rayon (to absorb) and dioxin (bleaching chemical) [In September 2008, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that
there really is no set 'acceptable' level of exposure to dioxin given that it is cumulative and slow to disintegrate.] If fibers from the tampons are left inside (which mainly happens), it can create a ground for dioxin to breed. This is also a reason why TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) occurs.

Cotton pads and Cotton tampons are still better options but most of the expensive brands are not not made up of cotton (so next time when you buy remember to check before you pay to get bleached again.

For more information on Cervical Cancer please check Wikipedia and similar references. If you find it complex then please update I will try my best to pen down about Cervical Cancer and related issues.

Particular subject is just an piece of information for women, to be honest (I am not ashamed of saying) 95% of Indian women doesnt know the way to use a tampoon and they really have no idea about the fact that you can not use a pad for more thn 4-5 hours.
Why don't you be honest and say if you were aware of this or not

95 % is too high... i could not imagine such... maybe you're just exaggerating...or miscalculating data.

i had attended an orientation about such thing way back on my elementary years... how much more now... information dissemination today is i guess better than before...:-)
