Job satisfaction an employee feels doing his daily work is vital. Job satisfaction not only affects the performance of the individual employee but also the overall organizational development. There are many factors that affect job satisfaction of the employees in a firm.

The way the various functions are organized on a work day affects the job satisfaction. There should not be room for boredom or strain with the length of working time being too long or too short.

The working conditions work should be admirable, for example there should be proper lighting and temperature. The workload must neither be too heavy nor too light. It must be challenging as well as achievable to keep the employees interested.

The aptitude and attitude of the employee should be suited for the job profile to ensure his interest in the work The organization must provide similar opportunities to every employee without any bias.

The relation with direct supervisor plays a very important role in ensuring proper job satisfaction. There should be a trust between the management and employees. The competency of the managerial staff is of utmost importance to ensure proper job satisfaction.

The organization must ensure proper job security and give optimal salaries and wages.
Other benefits such as social welfare measures must be ensures for the wellbeing of the employees.

The organization must provide opportunities for further training and improvement of qualification and thus give an opportunity for further advancement of life to their employees.
