Sales and marketing
One of the mot aggressive areas of the computing industry is sales and marketing. Almost all IT companies are known to be aggressive and ready to do anything to eliminate competition. Most IT companies have separate and marketing divisions. The marketing divisions are normally in charge of introducing new products and creating a brand image. The sales departments which normally regional activity centers are involved with booking orders. In many small IT companies these two are not separate departments and sales and marketing is clubbed as one function.
A good sales person must normally have a good knowledge of the company's products and services and be able to effectively understand needs of clients in order to win their confidence.
